Strengthening the SMPA Student Experience for Better Outcomes

Resources for Board members to provide stronger support to SMPA students and graduates, and to foster Board engagement with SMPA students and graduates.

Our efforts will focus on four areas:

• Provide Board with opportunities to interface with SMPA students and graduates, including: biannual meetings with students/graduates to set/review goals, as well as annual scholarship application interviews: Interview Sign-Up Sheet for Board Members

• Open doors at colleges and universities to sell the SMPA story as well as our students.  (and facilitate meetings when possible) at colleges and universities with potential for SMPA graduates: College and University Contacts

• Provide resources, both professional and personal, as students explore college opportunities, career paths, and the job market; support students trying to secure internships in specific fields, provide contacts over a broad variety of industries: Career Contacts

• Facilitate Board involvement in key functions of the school: Board Support/Attendance
