On Friday, students from Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter School of Medicine led SMPA 5th graders on a scientific investigation to examine the sugar content of common household foods. They made some surprising discoveries!
Des was surprised to discover how much sugar was in fig bars. Noemi remarked, “They add WAY more sugar to soda than what we’re supposed to consume.” And Sayri said that the experiment was cool and a lot of fun!
