These interviews represent an important opportunity for Board members to get to know our students better, and provide support as they begin to set life goals. Midyear conferences occur in January. These are to reflect back on fall semester and discuss goals for the rest of the year; scholarship interviews in May/June for renewal and to discuss academic and long-term goals.

The calendar of interviews throughout the year is as follows:

• SMPA graduates: Board interviews to discuss goals for the year and to ask questions regarding longer-term goals.
• Current eighth graders: Exit interviews/goals for high school and beyond. Typically happen in March/April.
