SMPA 8th grade student Christian, Class of 2028, was honored at the Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools’ (FACS) Columbus Day Breakfast. This breakfast recognizes “Super Star” Catholic school students for their accomplishments and selfless acts inside and outside of school.
Christian is a well-rounded, impressive young man, exemplifying the type of student SMPA’s Honor Code encourages. He has been an outstanding student, earning multiple honors at SMPA and is a leader in the classroom.
Outside of SMPA, Christian was honored for a project that advocated for anti-bullying and raised money through drawing portraits to help provide corrective lenses to Native Americans. He became involved with Homes for the Brave through the Rotary Interact Club at SMPA because of his uncle who was in the Army and recently retired from the service.
When asked why he thinks helping others is important, Christian responds, “Just helping yourself doesn’t get you anywhere. To see people around me who don’t have the same resources gives me a bad feeling in my stomach.”
