SMPA’s Interact Club is off to a great start for the 2021-2022 school year as new officers have been installed. Officers Emmanuel, ’32, Denim, ’31, Tayvion, ’30 , and Interact Club President, Jeremy, ’30, received their official rotary pins from Rotary members . Orange Rotarians Lucy Andrade, Fred Hulley, Ned Martin and Trish Pearson have been leading the weekly meetings of the Interact Club. The first service project the club has undertaken this year is a canned food drive.
“To lead the interact club means to lead a group of people who are willing to do anything to help others in need. This year as president I plan on doing a food drive in order to feed those who aren’t as fortunate as us who have food. I want to keep Mrs. Hammonds legacy going. I wanted to become interact club president to lead a team of people who are willing to dedicate their time to help others.” – Jeremy, ’30, Interact Club president
