SMPA graduate and college Freshman Judith Suffrard was awarded an Intercultural Leadership Ambassador Program & Scholarship from Roger Williams University, which recognizes students from diverse backgrounds who demonstrate great academic and leadership potential, and an aptitude for perseverance and community involvement.

Since going on a tour of the Rogers Williams campus with the SMPA Graduate Support Program in the summer of 2012, Judith knew this was the school for her; she couldn’t wait to attend.
Judith was very active at SMPA. She was a Peer Minister and a singer and musician (playing the saxophone.) SMPA Principal, Dr. Kelly O’Leary, remembers the command and presence of Judith, especially during her homilies. “Judith gave great homilies about love and the care of others, themes she was very passionate about,” said Dr. O’Leary.
Having started her studies in International Business at Roger Williams this past September, Judith is well on her way toward making that mark. She has always has exhibited great leadership, determination and a passion for helping others, and is currently the Vice President of her Freshman class. We are very proud to be part of Judith’s journey.
