Students Build and Launch Model Rockets
Through a partnership with the Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport Museum, and Students To Launch, our students have been participating in a combination of classroom, hands-on, and virtual sessions to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Commander Josh led our 7th and 8th grade students in a rocket building and launch experiment.
Quinnipiac University’s Bobcat Kids Teaches Healthy Cooking
Each Monday Quinnipiac Medical Students visit SMPA with fresh ingredients to work with SMPA students to create delicious meals.
Bicycle Club Rolling Along
SMPA launches Bicycle Club through multiple drives and a partnership with NCAT teaching students bicycle safety, maintenance, how to ride on the road and in groups.
