Welcome to the St. Martin de Porres Academy School Readiness Program!

Our classrooms consist of a mixed age group of three and four year old children with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and cultures. We celebrate the individuality of each child and provide developmentally appropriate activities to promote positive learning experiences for everyone in our program.

We believe in supporting and valuing all families. We take very seriously our responsibility to make your child feel safe, comfortable and special. We consider ourselves partners with you in helping your child discover the wonders of learning

Our Program is partially subsidized by a school readiness grant from the State of Connecticut Dept. of Education. Thirty-six school readiness grant subsidized positions are available for three and four year old children who reside in New Haven. The fee for these positions is based on income and family size. There are four additional “full pay” positions. We are eligible for Care 4 Kids funds. Discrimination of students and their families applying for admission to out program with respect to race, language, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation or disability is prohibited.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a high quality, developmentally-appropriate early childhood educational experience that will meet the diverse needs of all participating children. Our focus is on the personal, social, emotional, creative, cognitive and physical development of our young children. An atmosphere of caring and respect for each person is intrinsic to our mission.
