It is truly an honor to be the head of a unique and dynamic institution like Saint Martin de Porres Academy. Our students thrive within the holistic educational structure that we provide for them ten hours per day, eleven months per year. It is a gift to be able to follow them through their high school and college years as they further blossom into themselves; knowing that many blooms are the result of seeds that we planted. To be a part of their journey is a privilege. They develop a vital sense of self through spiritual grounding, which will propel them to excellence as they move on to new and exciting challenges. Our teachers are young and passionate. They give all of themselves to their students. Their tireless dedication is off the charts. Our many volunteers and supports bring such diversity of talent, care and resources, which nurtures the spirits of our kids and further helps them develop a vital sense of self. Ours is a collaborative effort of loving these young people into wholeness. Ultimately, the development of that core along with the empowerment of education are what will end the cycle of poverty and burst open the sphere of opportunity.
